Hello loyal readers! At long last we can tell you, our far-flung fans and supporters who have put up with our lies and delays, that a selection of the market’s offerings are now available online! Yes! Check it out right here and we hope you like it.
Marketing

New rules about cigarette marketing have made my (Rachael) ordering really complicated. Cigarette companies can’t say “Light” or “Medium” anymore, so most of them have renamed themselves based on the label. Thus Marlboro Lights become Marlboro Silver, Camel Lights become Camel Blues. This would be an interesting study in how everyone remembers their cigarettes based on color anyway….until I ordered “Marlboro Red Box,” thinking it was Marlboro Regulars (or “Reds” as everyone calls them) only to find them to be Mediums. Drag. Let’s just acknowledge that Lucky Strike’s marketing is awfully nice looking. We only sell nonfilters, so no rebranding required.
We’ll Take It
We all have our take it or leave it finds to boast of, but Joe really got lucky when he scooped this dresser last week. It immediately went onto the floor to hold our lobster-cracker boxes, soaps, and fresh lemons.
(The Take It or Leave It is a little section of the Nantucket dump where people can drop off things they no longer need, and hunt for things they do.)
Coogi Summer Day
We had to snap a photo of this stylish customer mid-purchase. He spotted and purchased his Coogi sweater at the Hospital Thrift Store, a favorite downtown shop of the market crew (when we have the chance to shop). He finished off the brilliant day of shopping by purchasing a Big League Chew at the West End Market.

The Beer of the Clam Visits Madaket
Two Narragansett fans (with both their money and their wear!) have been frequenting the market the past few days. We are inspired by their brand loyalty and the catchy phrases on their shirts.
